Kerry Schaeffner
Kerry began his career with Bache & Co. in 1968 and spent his early career working in institutional equity sales. In 1986, he founded his own financial consulting firm specializing in asset placement with money managers and assisting companies with capital raising efforts. In 1993 he began selling independent research products and has always seen the value in the combination of high quality research that is free of conflicts of interest.

Roland Miller
Roland began his career in the investment industry on the buyside as an analyst and portfolio manager. In 1986 he began marketing independent research and managing vendor relations and hasn't looked back since. His extensive career has even included authoring the a Directory of Research Services, the most comprehensive and detailed compilation of independent research services available as well as designing the Independent Research Summary Service.

Rob Hasting
Rob Hasting joined SMHC in 2002 after ten years working in sales. His rapid grasp of the investment research business and the needs of Institutional Money Managers combined with his work ethic and productivity prompted an invitation to become a partner of our firm in 2003 and a name partner in 2004. Rob later added the role of COO to ensure the Firm had a strong operating structure during years of steep growth. He currently is Head of the Global Sales at the Firm.

Rich Holden
In 2010 Rich relocated to Australia to head SMHC's efforts to expand its global reach. His self-motivated efforts have brought in over $500,000 in annual sales revenues to our clients. He has 20+ years of sales and management experience from a variety of companies in locations around the U.S. All of which required him to be a self-starter with extreme focus and attention to detail. He truly enjoys talking to people and making connections.
